Once recorded, the audio is analysed in fine detail back at Serenity Acoustics HQ. This is to ascertain precisely what frequencies and amplitude of sounds are most prominent from your noisy neighbours.

We produce a wide selection of tests, and these are all printed out and form part of the report we construct.

The test include spectrograms which we intemperate for you. These show in fine detail the amplitude of noises like dog-barks, footsteps, etc. in both their amplitude (how loud they are compared to the general background noise), and their audio frequency. From this can be determined precisely what kind of acoustic treatment will be necessary to eradicate this noise.

Basically there are two forms of noise we are looking for: airborne (like voices, dogs barking, radio), and contact/impact sounds (footsteps, music thumping, banging and clattering). These require very different treatments, which are drawn up in the next stage...
